Life throws-up many psychological challenges to us all and these are often seen as negative issues / attributes rather than a normal part of life. The visual (and verbal) language of the services available to help us with these ‘life challenges’ compound these negative perceptions and can become self fulfilling rather than a positive step in dealing with the challenge.
The identity that we created for the NHS Cornwall Foundation Trust positively communicates that cognitive issues affect us all and that by dealing with them in the right way (and earlier rather than later) can help us improve our mental well-being.
The name BeMe came from the idea that everyone is different and reflects the desire to feel one’s self.
We created a simple typographic logo from the 4 letters in the name and used the space between to create a simple linear plus. We could then open and split this logotype to create a ‘positive space’ for messaging, imagery and further communications. The identity is further supported with a colourful palate for the different courses / sessions and communication offered by BeMe and the use of a positive productive tone of voice.
