The glamorous appeal of 50’s fashion and nostaligic tongue-in-cheekiness of the era is naturally a fun, charming and desirable playground for cosmetics so we new we would have fun when Tesco approached us with the challenge of giving their ‘Along Came Betty’ range a make-over.
Moving away from the existing black and white photography and inspired by the timeless beauty icons of the silver screen we worked with artist Fiona Stephenson to put a face to Betty and taking lead from the brand name created a brand aesthetic reminiscent of fifties film posters, overlaying the illustrations with an evolved and strengthened brand logo.
